RAN (RADIO ACCESS NETWORK) ENGINEER

Job Desc:

* Responsible for performing radio optimization in respective region and support operation and maintenance activities on access nodes (BSS and RAN network). Have working experience in radio optimization.
* To perform early detection and classification of performance changes in radio clusters and suggest remedies.
* Response to customer complaints in poor coverage area and conduct optimization procedure to identify cause of failure in reported coverage spot.
* Analyze daily reports on radio traffic, busy hour report, RF interference, call success rate, drop call rate and traffic management.
* To conduct identification on drop call / call setup failure rate in respective cluster and perform coverage improvement methods.
* Conduct early detection in radio congestion, classification of RF performance changes and suggest on remedies.
* Ensure radio performance in respective cluster is maintained in nominal value and immediate initiatives taken to restore radio performance related problems.To conduct scheduled drive test to identify cell handover and drop calls. Familiar in using drive test tools and analyze test reports.
* Conduct optimization performance analysis, RF interference management and KPI reporting


R e q u i r e m e n t

* Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Technology Management
* Above two (2) years of working experience in Telecommunication industry and experience in radio optimization.
* Good knowledge in RF optimization, system parameters and access media functionalities. Working experience in radio system will be added advantage.
* Excellent knowledge of radio service layer, RF interference and configuration characteristics.
* Good knowledge in drive test tools functionality, post report analysis and use of applications related to the optimization service.
* Analytical skills in preparing reports
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands.
* Result oriented, good skills in leading and motivating people. Excellent team player.
* Open approach to solving problems and dealing with new proposals.
* Have strong statistical analysis
* Have strong drive test analysis
